Startup 101

November 28, 2015 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm PST

Have an idea (or not, that’s cool too) and want to take the first step to STARTUP? First thing’s first you need to see if what you’re selling is what people are willing to buy. That means Customer Discovery, aka Startup 101.

To help you get on your journey as a newly minted entrepreneur, the Spring team invites you to spend an afternoon at HQ getting down to business and learning the basics on what it’s going to take to (hopefully) become the next Hootsuite or Slack.

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to define your customer’s problem

  • How to create a customer discovery questionaire

  • How to get out and validate your market

  • What’s the next step on your startup journey

Here’s How We’ll Do It:

1:00 – 1:30 – Networking (Get to know each other, maybe find a co-founder?)
1:30 – 2:45 – Introduction to Customer Discovery (The good stuff.)
2:45 – 3:15 – Group Work Session (Putting that good stuff into action!)
3:15 – 4:00 – Presentations (Show us your idea has what it takes!)

Looking forward to hearing about your ideas and helping you take the first step in the #startuplife!

The Spring Team

About Spring:

Spring helps early-stage entrepreneurs launch, grow, and change the world. Our goal is to help entrepreneurs everywhere change the world and do business better. We do this through our programs and resources:

  • Co-working space in Vancouver, BC

  • Bootcamps (Capital Raising)

  • Kick – Global idea incubator (in person and virtual)

  • FledgeX – Global social enterprise accelerator (virtual)

  • Workshops

About Kick:

Kick is an incubator program, designed to take you and your business from the earliest stages to a clear reality. You’ll spend two nights per week in-class, planning and validating their ideas with the support of the Spring team and over 50 mentors and advisors.

A blend of workshops, lectures, fireside chats, and co-working decrease a startup’s time to market and increase an entrepreneur’s probability of success. We create the one place you need for everything to get your startup off the ground. Pre-work and homework connect the sessions and weeks as you progress toward graduation.
