SPRING BLOG

Spring’s Global Impact is Growing!

In the past 3 years, Spring has grown a vibrant ecosystem practice supporting foundations, donors, governments, incubators, and accelerators. During this time, we’ve advised and supported more than 70 organizations in 30 communities around the world.

From ecosystem development to program design and implementation, we’re excited about the impact we can have globally and want to share the projects we’ve contributed to recently.

The Swiss Entrepreneurship Program (Swiss EP)

Led by Swiss Contact, this initiative supports the development of vibrant innovation ecosystems in developing countries around the world. Spring helped the Swiss EP team in three capacities:

  1. Advising on program strategy and delivery
  2. Building the capacity of incubators and accelerators in each country
  3. Working directly with entrepreneurs via workshops, bootcamps, and events

Phase 1 of Swiss EP concluded in June and the program was given the approval to continue to phase 2 for the next four years.

In Phase 2, Kosovo will join Albania, Bosnia, North Macedonia, Peru, and Vietnam to increase the program’s impact into seven countries.

Frontier Incubators

September marks the wrap-up of the Frontier Incubators program. Initiated by the Australian Government, Innovation Exchange, and Australian Aid, the program has directly supported the capacity-building efforts of 19 impactful incubators and accelerators from across the region.

As one organization on an amazing roster of partners, Spring provided participants with direct and thematic support covering financial sustainability and impact measurement. The program resulted in the development of a vibrant, sustainable community of impact incubators and accelerators dedicated to creating positive change across the Asia-Pacific region.

IE Business School Incubator

The IE Business School is a world-class MBA program that uniquely delivers a full incubator program within its MBA curriculum. Spring integrated into the program to provide advice on curriculum design and deliver the startup metrics module. This gave us the opportunity to introduce impact and impact metrics to two cohorts of game-changing business leaders. Keith was humbled to be awarded one of the IE Business Schoo’s Prize for Teaching Excellence.

WISE Women’s Network

As the leading supporter of female founders in Vietnam, WISE focuses on creating lasting, positive impact for women. Spring traveled to Hanoi to help deliver their accelerator through a combination of program design and facilitated delivery. Their second cohort proved to be as strong as their first. We’re looking forward to sharing more developments in the coming months related to investment for female founders and program expansion.
