Overview

Our award-winning Invest Together in Climate Innovation program is back to discover a new cohort of climate ventures tackling some of the most pressing challenges of our time and connect them with investors ready to deploy capital.

10 impact ventures will be selected to participate in an Investment Readiness Catalyst, focused on sharpening fundraising strategy and strengthening core materials. Founders will explore topics including:

  • What investors look for in climate ventures at raise stage
  • Navigating complex, sector-specific investor questions
  • How to prioritize your efforts during an active raise
  • Approaching valuation, terms, and alignment with confidence
  • Sustaining momentum beyond the close

In early May, you will present your company and its newly strengthened pitch to our cohort of accredited investors. They will choose the Top 5 Ventures that will continue to the next stage: A supported due diligence process with a DD coach, analyst and Spring team members who will collaborate with you to create an investment deal memo.

In June, the Top 5 will prepare pre-recorded pitches for the Climate Innovation Prize Finale, where the Top Venture will be awarded an investment of approximately $200K. No other prizes are guaranteed, but some previous Invest Together Top 5 companies have also received investment.

Whether you’re named to the Top 10 or the Top Venture, being part of Invest Together will provide you with invaluable connections, a robust data room, and a community of purpose-driven founders + investors that will support your growth. Many ventures actually return (and raise) a second time, or join other Spring programs like Scale Ready to continue supporting their growth.

Whether advancing through the full process or not, founders gain meaningful exposure to climate-focused investors, a stronger data room, and lasting relationships within Spring’s national ecosystem of founders and funders. Many ventures return to raise additional capital or advance through other Spring programs, such as Scale Ready.

How Will the Investment Be Made?

At the end of the program, the founder(s) of the Top Venture will have the option of receiving individual investments directly from each accredited investor or one pooled investment from all of the investors in a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). The Spring team will work with the founder to review any third party SPV expenses and determine which option is the best fit for their venture.
