What is Invest Together?

Invest Together in Climate Innovation connects early-stage Canadian climate ventures with accredited impact investors for an impact investment prize of $200K.

Our new format enables you to choose how you want to participate:

Which Stage is Right for You?

Your entry point depends on your goals and how actively you’d like to participate. Join at the stage that fits you best:

  1. Top 10 Pitch > Top 5 Selection
    • Investors will participate in a virtual showcase featuring 10 selected Climate Innovation ventures. Following the presentations, participating investors will vote to determine the Top 5 companies that will advance to Due Diligence and move closer to making their investment decision for Top Venture.
  2. Supported Due Diligence
    • Accredited investors will do shared Due Diligence across the Top 5. You’ll be part of a team focused on one venture and share your findings with the other four DD teams. This includes support from a Spring analyst and an experienced DD Coach to work with you to develop Investment Memos.
  3. Climate Innovation Impact Prize Finale
    • Through final pitches and deliberation alongside your fellow investors, you will collectively select the Top Venture to invest in. Additional accredited investors may join at this stage to participate in the investment opportunity.

Who is Invest Together For?

To participate as an Invest Together investor, you need to be:

  • A human being (all genders welcome!)
  • An accredited Canadian investor
  • Curious about climate investing

Fees for the program are determined by the stage(s) you have chosen, to a maximum of $500 CDN + GST.

How Will the Investment Be Made?

At the end of the program, the founder(s) of the Top Venture will have the option of receiving individual investments directly from each accredited investor or one pooled investment from all of the investors. If the founder chooses to receive a pooled investment, each investor will be asked to contribute a small sum beyond any program fees to go towards the costs of creating the SPV vehicle that will invest in the Top Venture.
