Significant changes have been made to Canada’s Startup Visa program, of which Spring is a designated entity. This affects how we are able to support international founders and limits us to a quota of 10 accepted startups per year. In light of this new reality, we are launching
Our Global Impact Startup Visa, a comprehensive 12 to 18-month virtual program that supports immigrant entrepreneurs with a positive social or environmental impact to move to and scale their ventures in Canada. This program includes:

On December 19th, 2025, the Canadian government’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced changes to their business immigration program. See the official announcement below.
