Do you have a purpose-driven company based in British Columbia that’s trying to solve a pressing social and/or environmental issue? Are you part of an equity-deserving group that’s been historically underfunded? Spring’s new Scale Ready program offers 3 levels of support to help you understand, navigate and raise growth capital through a curated learning journey, access to expert services and key introductions to a values-aligned community.

What is Scale Ready?

We’re working to scale equitable opportunities for BC-based ventures, helping bridge the funding gaps from pre-seed to seed, and seed to Series A. These gaps often limit growth and impact and can be even more complex for founders from equity-deserving groups.

Through Scale Ready, we’ll catalyze the growth of 110+ ventures in BC that are led or co-led by underrepresented founders and leaders. Ventures will enter the program at one of three levels based on the stage of their company. They’ll receive tailored training, investment readiness support and strategic planning for their next round. Ventures with the highest growth potentials will get custom support to develop growth plans, leverage market research and activate a tailored network of Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, subject matter experts and service partners.

Our goal is not just to help your venture grow—but to support you in removing barriers to get you fully prepared for your next investment round with a clear strategy, a solid data room and the right backing.

Who is Eligible?

All three Scale Ready levels are open to companies that:

Are based in British Columbia, Canada
Are solving a social or environmental issue and contributing to one or more of the UN Sustainable Development Goals
Are an incorporated Canadian company that is a private issuer according to Canadian securities laws.

All sectors are welcome, with tech-focused ventures being prioritized.

All are welcome to apply. We will focus on participants from equity-deserving groups including those who are women or gender diverse, BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, youth (30 or under), persons with disabilities, those from remote/rural communities and/or newcomers to Canada.

Which Level is Right for Us?

Each Scale Ready level has its own criteria and focus:

Build: Your company is pre-revenue or early-stage and eager to raise capital but new to the investment landscape. Ideal candidates are preparing to pitch for structured funding programs and looking for hands-on support in a cohort-based environment.

Elevate: Your company has an established product or service, is generating revenue or showing strong traction, and is planning to raise $150K–$1.5M within the next 12 months, Ideal candidates have completed a Friends & Family round and are ready to engage with angel investors or institutional capital.

Grow: Your tech-enabled company is launched, gaining early traction or revenue, and looking to raise $1.5M+ over the next 12–24 months. You’re planning to expand into new markets, scale operations or refine your product offering. Ideal candidates have completed or are starting to launch a pre-seed or seed round.
