KEYNOTE PANEL SPEAKER

Leah is an Investment Director for the TELUS Pollinator Fund for Good, which brings a dual-lens approach to investing in the next generation of startups that are leveraging technology to build solutions towards positive social, health, and/or environmental outcomes. She drove the strategy and execution for launching the Pollinator Fund, and now leads the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of Fund opportunities. Most recently Leah was with TELUS Ventures, one of Canada’s longest-standing corporate venture funds, where she helped drive growth into new markets and served as a strategic advisor. Leah also actively mentors entrepreneurs and aspiring VCs.

Narinder is a Managing Partner at Marigold Capital, which focuses on funding companies tackling large social challenges. She has dedicated her life to catalyzing large-scale change for social ventures, having also served as Managing Director of LEAP | Pecaut Centre for Social Impact, and worked with Acumen Fund to deploy impact investments to social enterprises across Ghana and Nigeria. As a lecturer at the University of Toronto, Narinder created the first course in Impact Investing and currently teaches at Ryerson University in Social Innovation and Social Finance. In 2019, she was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40.

As a Program Director at Spring, Mari leads impact investing programming to make impact investing mainstream while removing the barriers between entrepreneurs and investors and diversifying the impact investing landscape. In her early career, Mari spent more than a decade living internationally as she worked in business development, marketing, and partnerships. While living in Norway, she co-founded Outtt and raised close to $1 million while driving the company to nearly a million active users. Now back in her hometown of Vancouver, Mari devotes her global experience to building purpose-driven, innovative startup ecosystems.
