IMPACT Startup Visa
Food Innovation Accelerator

We work with impact-driven food innovators looking to move to Canada and scale their businesses while solidifying their immigration status under the Canadian Start-up Visa immigration pathway.

Scale Your Impact F&B Business in Canada

We are living in the rise of the food innovation economy.

As global demand increases due to a growing population and producing food sustainably becomes ever more important, food security will increasingly depend on access to healthy and affordable choices and locally sourced options promoting freshness, health, and the planet’s overall wellbeing.

From food processing and manufacturing to packaging and distribution, this sector greatly impacts global ecosystems. That’s why it’s integral to collaborate with food entrepreneurs and develop innovative solutions towards food security, waste reduction, sustainable production, and more.

At Spring Activator, we’ll be running a food innovation-themed IMPACT Startup Visa Accelerator Program, specifically supporting immigrant entrepreneurs in the F&B industry looking to move to Canada and scale their businesses to access the North American market.

Our IMPACT Startup Visa Program operates under the banner of the Canadian Start-up Visa immigration avenue, a program supporting entrepreneurs seeking to immigrate to Canada to accelerate innovation and job creation in the country.

You will finish the Program with a global community of peers in the F&B space, a network of key players in the Canadian business ecosystem, and your Permanent Residency application supported by Spring Activator.

What is an impact-focused F&B business?

Any F&B-related business that has a giveback component or creates a positive impact. To learn more about what impact means at Spring, we encourage you to read this article

How is the IMPACT Startup Visa Food Innovation Accelerator different from the general one?

The F&B-specific Startup Visa Accelerator is an offshoot from our general IMPACT Startup Visa Accelerator Program, a comprehensive 4-month program combining traditional business acceleration with processes, support, and connections to help immigrant entrepreneurs solidify Canada as the home base for their businesses.

The primary differences between the two versions of the Program are the following:

  1. The Food-Innovation Accelerator will ONLY include participants that are in the impact F&B space. In contrast, the general IMPACT Startup Visa Accelerator is open to purpose-driven businesses in ALL industries.
  2. The Food Innovation Accelerator will include lessons more specifically related to the F&B industry on top of all other Program support.

When does this Program begin?

The exact date of the program intake is yet to be announced. However, if you’re looking to join this Program between now and early 2022, then we highly encourage you to apply as soon as possible to account for application and visa processing times.
