The Impact Investor Challenge is a comprehensive, 11-week program with an investor track for individuals interested in impact investing and meeting purpose-driven founders, and an entrepreneur track for early-stage, fundraising startups seeking investment.
We run the Impact Investor Challenge to grow the impact investor community and introduce investors and impact-curious individuals into impact investing by providing a learning experience that culminates in making an actual investment into a high-impact company.
The program also helps fund impact entrepreneurs so they can change the world through innovation. To date, over $780,000 has been awarded in impact investments to Challenge winners and more than $15M has been catalyzed to participants as a result of the program.
Through the Impact Investor Challenge, we seek to guide individuals along their journeys into and within impact so that together we can accelerate ideas that can help build a better world for all.

September – December 2022
This two-month program is for women founders of impact businesses, accredited investors, and those interested in exploring impact investing.
The program aims to:

This two-month program is for founders of Ontario-based impact businesses, as well as accredited investors and those interested in exploring impact investing who are located in Ontario

Since first launching in Vancouver in 2019, the Impact Investor Challenge has grown exponentially and we now run several programs a year—spanning from global to national across Canada to regional—with the support of a variety of partners and including Challenges with thematic focuses such as climate tech and gender lens investing.

For the entrepreneur track, you may submit individual applications to as many Challenges as your business qualifies for. Who is the Impact Investor Challenge for and what exactly is it? The Challenge is an 11-week training program for both impact investors seeking to make investments and purpose-driven entrepreneurs looking to fundraise to scale their businesses.
Throughout the program’s 2-hour weekly sessions, participants hear from local and global industry experts and have the chance to gain insights, build their community, and acquire resources and guidance to become successful in their respective domains.
At the end of the program, the investor cohort collectively awards $100,000* in investments to their top chosen company from the entrepreneur cohort.
The Impact Investor Challenge will leave you with a community of impact investors, key players in the startup ecosystem, and emerging mission-driven companies.
